Re: Which figures of characters do you think are superior
For the Springer thing, for the 30th, in hand, it was good at the time and still holds well, but Sandstorm is a better remold and I love it, and I can't see Hasbro even being able to redo the magic that went into it as the only thing I could say it could benefit from would be ankle tilt and the small addition of such articulation, but it's a figure that will must certainly stay at my desk as part of my go-to figures.
For Siege Springer, he gets lots of hate due to being compared to the 30th version, but to me, it's one of the better Siege figures. His transformation isn't easy, but no harder than the 30th version. The ankle thing is easily fixed with floor polish so that's not an issue that's any different from almost every other figures that have a loose part (and with WFC, there's few that haven't gotten a floor polish treatment).
And while I am not a fan of the cartoon esthetics, he's like Astrotrain where they look "right" in relation to the cartoons, but manages to not look cartoonish. So I separate it from the 30th, and I end up preferring the Siege version without hesitation.
