Dude, any self respecting G1 fan realizes G1 happened in the 80s which is the era of terrible yet catchy music.
Anyhow this band is fun, first and foremost. They're not Vivaldi or The Beatles or Eminem. They're onstage to have fun and share that with fellow-minded people.
Everyone should try that sometime. Even you.
