The PAX actually comes in a shallower solution as well, you can get one that is only 13 inches deep, same as a Billy. And it works the same way as a Billy, you buy the frame and then put it together with any shelves or doors you want to use.

The price on these PAX kills it though, very expensive compare to Billy Book Case, and they seem to take up more room. After all, these are just toys. Pax is better to use as regular closet in my opinion. That is why they are so deep so you can hang your clothes. I mean it is cool if you are okay with the space it takes up and you are okay with the price.
