You find out Primal is secretly Sith and has been manipulating Megatron from behind the scenes. An army of Scorponoks wipes out the Autobots and Maximal, while Megatron finishes off the younglings.
The final shot is Primal sitting on a throne saying "wait til they get a load of me", and then he wakes up in bed on the Axalon (from the original Beast Wars show) and turns to Transmutate in bed beside him and says "you wouldn't believe the dream I ju.."
Cuts to black, the end.
