A3U must have shitty lawyers.
You can't just break a lease without cause, it's kind of a big deal in the commercial world. You get sued for that.
There is more to this story, guaranteed.
Will be interesting to see who opens up there. I just don't think A3U is a blip on any of the big boxes radar and the idea that Shape Properties is playing favorites is kind of ridiculous. Unless A3U really pissed them of somehow, it's bad business.
Sounds like something people in the know tell people who aren't and don't need to be.
All of us would buy at Walmart, the Bay or TRU or where ever because it's always significantly cheaper than somewhere like A3U.
They don't compete with a tiny, specialized store like A3u.
I think more likely someone at A3U must have dropped the ball or the lease they had signed was very poorly written for them.
That or rents are going way up with the evergreen line about to open and all those new towers coming and A3U didn't want to pay up and were given the option to just leave.
I sure hope they have a moving sale.
