gijoe/transformers x-over optimus prime

finally got around to finishing this guy about a week ago.(plus, wifey just brought back my camera from her usa trip:D)i ended up painting him in the typical prime color scheme with all flat acrylics and automotive enamel for the flat blacks.i ended up painting the turret blue also just so that his feet that show in tank mode wouldnt be the only blue.unfortunately because of hoew the hiss tank is,4 parts are formed by parts forming, the treads, turret and the skid plate/head cover.i ended up also butchering a cybertron vector prime for the feet(thanks for the input guys!!you all rock!!:D)and then a dollar store tank was also butchered for the skidplate.for weapons, prime has 3 grenade launchers per shoulder and in each tread there is a 12 mini missile pod,4 surface to air missiles,8 grenade launchers and 6 sonic cannons and to top it off for himself he has a bfg donated to the cause from a ko armada superprime.alot of time, duramix, screws, styrene and bandaids went into him and overall im pretty pleased with the end result.the only thing left now is to find the headlight bezels i made that my cat figured would be fun to bat around:mad:

Would attaching the treads to the arms instead of the back be possible? That would at least break up some of the kibble.

great start!

I agree with the idea of putting the treads on the arms. Would it be even possible to fold the cockpit down to form the chest?

the main "pivot" used for the cockpit is the one that enables energon ironhide to split in half to combine with jetfire or cliffjumper.initially i was going to try using his cockpit as the chest but in the image comics version of him,he's got a bot chest as opposed to dw's version which did have the cockpit as the chest but they were ironhide and ratchet.i probably wont try to alter the cockpit area anymore mostly because i want to make sure it still fits a standard joe fig.either way,it is a work in progress so nothing is final yet:)
