All current Transformers are overpriced.

Soundwave, at least, is a "forty" dollar toy + a "15" dollar toy. It's still silly he costs 5 bucks more than a voyager + micromaster set together. EXTENSIVE retool. Lots of folks had a tough time getting Ravage & Laserbeak in the first place. If you want the perfect generations Soundwave, this is... basically it.

I would be shocked if it is found later at clearance prices. That isn't likely.

I agree on Prime - YMMV may vary on the deco but his two battlemasters are yawn. Repaints of three toys that most folks have, yawn.

So, really: people are after three figures. We'll see piles of NF Wheeljack and probably Prime shelfwarming, while the toys people want are long gone. Missed out, too bad. So get it now or pay through the nose later.

*shrug*

Scalpers aren't going to accept my $20+ in WalMart Rewards bucks, which would cut my out-of-pocket cost down to $40-some

You bet your ass I'm trying to find one in-store

Just like G1 Soundwave reissue and the cassettes, very hard to find. While trailerless Prime and Blaster were and are shelf warmers.

I'm sure there are people sitting on a pile of Blasters expecting to flip them who are kicking themselves for buying them up.

no, simple common sense says that unsold and unpopular item get returned on day 29 of purchase. Gives ample time to scalp while its hot

Think we'll get a new blaster for the SS86 line? He was in the movie.

We might even get a rerelease of the Netflix Soundwave mold as an SS86. Heck, he was in the movie and actually survived it.

I at least expect a Soundblaster repaint down the line.

I wouldn't mind that but I'm not a fan of this weird new faction symbol they're using on bugbite and the siege soundblaster.

Here's a way to sort of get G1 Blaster at $20 off, though your mileage may vary (seems to work for me with my local Wally):

Find G1 Blaster on walmart.ca and see if a store near you has him in stock.

For a store that does, look for the green "Grocery Item" on his listing. It's there on mine (see screenshot).

Add him to cart. Then add $35 (pretax) of other grocery items you need anyway, and set up a pickup timeslot.

Use coupon code MERRY60 for $20 off $75 grocery pickup orders (works on new and existing accounts).

Ta da! Kind of $20 off Blaster IF you also buy $35 pretax in grocery items.

I've seen several "not really grocery" items come up as grocery, including some video games. Search for X in Groceries (where X is something that interests you) to find more things to use the coupon for.

As for 'Transformers listed as Groceries' at my local Wally, 4 items come up but of the 4 only G1 Blaster will be of interest to 99.9% of fans I think.
