The sighting was made at a Toys R Us in Ontario.

The set sells for $109.95

Well, if we go by 3 Deluxes at $33, and the Voyager at $40, it makes some sense. Prices are definitely going up...

Well it actually is a significant discount, by today's Hasbro standards.



You are basically paying full price for 2 deluxes ($66) and a Voyager ($40 old price - $45 new price). So you can look at it as getting one deluxe "free". Or break it down across all 4 and you are paying approximately $27 each, so a savings per figure.


Either way, it is definitely a throwback to the days when an exclusive box set was actually cheaper than buying the individual figures (not on sale either). Versus the more current trend of exclusives being the same, or more expensive, than the regular retail price.

Wonder if this will go on sale, 110 is ok, but still would like a discount on repaints. Might do a buy now price match later type of deal.

Wow. That is the first time in YEARS a special edition set has been cheaper than separately, rather than more expensive for no reason.

Well dang! Time to tighten my belt and eat KD for the next couple weeks to save up for this pack.

By any chance anybody who would like this not care for Fangry? Because he's really the only one I'd really like to get.

Since everyone seems to want a different figure from this set I'm going to be keeping a close eye on "For Sale" threads over the coming weeks. Personally, I want the Blackarachnia but don't really care about the rest.
