As for the Beast Wars Transmetal I Megatron, make sure you get the Takara one.

The one from Hasbro suffers something like Gold Plastic Syndrome and the brown metal fleck plastic is so weak and brittle it crumbles/explodes when being handled. The Takara one does not suffer this same fate as the plastic is a different type and black in colour.

While not as expensive (and nowhere near Beast Wars screen accurate), Armada Predacon may be serviceable in your collection.

I had a Hasbro TM Megatron when I was younger and had no issues; also, I assume most of the ones with serious GPS are already broken by now - unless it's still in package, which it I feel would be a shame for me to open now. I'm willing to take some chances for the nostalgia.

I got an intact Hasbro MISB one back around 2005-2006, it shattered while taking it out of the packaging, before I even did anything with it.

As BW TMI Megs' the plastic ages, it gets brittle. Only the brown plastic, though. I more or less parts swapped my busted one with Armada Predacon. It kinda worked, but some joints are different sizes, surprisingly.
