classics idw dark cybertron dreadwing
 

another freebie for a fellow member,this one's been a long time coming as i never knew what to make the guy as he's a pretty good basher himself.
back to the bot,this is my interpretation of the aftermath of shockwave in the idw dark cybertron comics testing out his special "resurrection" ore.
if you haven't read the series yet(shame on you lolz),"SPOILER ALERT"....
in order to test his resurrection ore's ability,shockwave happily blew a gaping hole in dreadwings back,right out the front side too.though the ore worked as planned,dreadwing did mention that he wished shockwave would have warned him first......
standard repaint with a mild blackwsh,some silver highlights/drybrushing,along with a gaping hole that lines up to the other hole in his back,first made with a drill and drill bits,then more details and simulated outwards bent metal with a heated exacto knife.once the pink energon "blood" work was done,then all was coated in krylon matte clear.if you look closely at the entrance wound on his back,it resembles the same tri-cannon shape that would come from foc shockwaves arm cannon.
i also know that the attached pic that i was using as reference has a waaaay bigger hole but i wanted to still make him somewhat transformable.if it was destined to be an actionmaster than i would have had no problem taking out more of the alt mode cockpit area to make a bigger hole.
