Does anybody know - if these figures have QC issues, will Amazon Japan take care of you?
ShowZ & TFDirect both list "no after-sales service"/parts from Takara.

I’ve never heard of takara admitting fault for qc let alone send out replacement parts. The exception being the bungled godfire reissue voice clips. Most 3p companies provide replacement parts, usually free if it’s a known issue.

I haven’t had to do it but Amazon Japan will accept returns, but you will have to pay for the courier shipping upfront and they will reimburse you. This is for things sold and shipped by Amazon Japan... markerplace sellers will vary.

I have had to return a new Diaclone thingy back to Hobby Link Japan once due to missing parts. They did ship a new replacement to me and reimbursed my return shipping (which is more expensive then having the thing shipped to me from Japan).

201 usd (186.99 + 14.00 shipping) converts to 268 cad.

Getting mine from Amazon Japan, will be here on Monday if all goes well.

Yeah, it's like a $5-$6 difference. I changed my order to Amazon Japan a while back just to get it earlier.

I agree and for awhile I was contemplating cancelling Tigatron but when I checked last week I was unable to cancel. I mean, I don't buy a lot of TF's these days, and the G1 MP line nearly none of the, at this point, so putting that money to MP Beast Wars is something I can justify but also think the price isn't justified. That said I have only been impressed with the MP BW line so...yeah.

Yeah, my last official MP purchase was Black Arachnia. She cost almost as much as MP Ultra Magnus back in the day.

There was a time I would buy the official MP to display and then a KO for messing around with. Now, I'm all KO for the MP line.

I remember how 3rd party figures were the expensive items compared to the official stuff. Now, buying 3rd party figures seems to be the cheaper option. It's Bizzaro world I tell ya.
