This is a quote from the Hauls Board that I can't seem to repost....
"BEHOLD THE $6 MP RODIMUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My first one's arm snapped right off and I couldn't get another to replace it so I contacted hasbro. They told me it is an exclusive so they don't carry spare parts to send out but are sending me $49 to cover the sale price from when I picked it up and then today Hamilton TRU got a new shipment and swapped it out for me so in the end BLAM $6 Rodimus"
Ok let me start off by saying I posted a thread on the general boards about this but it got yanked fast (not sure why) but unless I'm reading this wrong... I dunno it just strikes me as low.

So he's getting a refund and still exchanged it anyway? Pretty dishonest.
And what's with the mods always closing threads here anyway?

Yeah, I'm liking it. No one to tell us to stay on topic.
I get their concerns though, we just need a place to discuss off-topic things. Which would be here.

I need a hobby...something to "keep me off the couch" as my wife puts it. I bike to work regularly so taking up jogging or joining a team sport isn't what I'm looking for.
During our last camping trip to the Gulf Islands it dawned on me: On-line Toy Reviews. Start a blog, review toys. Simple enough, right? Only problem is we're on a budget. New toys are out of the question unless some store lets me tinker with a new release for a while, review it, then return it. Otherwise I guess I could review what I already own. Am I on crack to think this will work? Would anyone care?

I'd be interested in reading it but I don't think any store will let you review & return stuff like that. But it's still interesting to hear what people think of older toys.

^Now that I think about it some of my favourites reviews are of older toys. I should just get on it, eh? Put the old macro settings on my digital SLR to through their paces. Maybe set up a light box? I dunno about you guys (and gals?) but I actually prefer pictorial reviews and "straight to the point" video reviewers like Peaugh.

Yeah, same. I kinda miss pictorial reviews where they show off all the good angles of the figure and you don't have to listen to the guy talk awkwardly for 15 minutes or struggle with transforming it.

^ I know it's odd but my favorite online reviews of TFtoys are actually the ones TFsouce puts out once and a while. Strait forward, lots of facts, lots of angles and comparisons. (peaugh is good too) I've thought about doing some similar type reviews on the more obscure/Japanese stuff I have. No one needs another DOTM optimus review but an objective United/EZ series review? I think people would like those, I know I appreciate them when I can't decided to spend the money or not.
I really like your idea of found reviews of older stuff, throw in some trivia or little known fact and I feel you've really got something there. I know I'd watch (unless you whistle when you talk, if so, I'm out. Lol)
