Transformers Armada of Cyclonus set found in Canada

Big thanks to cybertron.ca member Poflymn who reported seeing this set yesterday in Nova Scotia.
I was able to spot these figures myself today at lunch.
The new Platinum Edition set features repaints of the classics/generations Cyclonus and Scourge figures. This was at an Ottawa ToysRus where the set was going for $79.99

Happy hunting all

Holy smokes! That is the first reasonably priced platinum set. Literally thirty dollars less to start than the rodimus set, also three deluxes. Maybe Hasbro/tru has finally realized this shit doesn't sell until clearance.

Can't wait. Love those toys as it is and the new decos are slick.

TRU Dartmouth Crossing also has these as of yesterday. (Original I put a couple of days but I apparently days are going by far slowly than I remember)

I was just gonna say! Maybe they're learning. Having every Platinum item on clearance must piss off TRU -- bad optics?

I have no idea how the relationship between Hasbro and tru works but you have to figure putting all these big ticket items on deep clearance routinely for the past two years has to eventually get through to some corporate tru person. That's piles of shelf space and wasted dollars.

*Shrugs*

I've seen many reviews that the quality of this set is terrible, feels like KO's

Got it... looks pretty dang good IMO. (I may have gone with a slightly different color scheme on Cyc' - but Scourge and "Sweep" look especially great... "Sweep" possibly even being the coolest of the 3)

I might actually buy this. But I'm only really in it for that new Sweep head.

I wish Cyclonus' legs weren't transparent, etc.
