I generally don't spend more than $50 a figure, but there are a few exceptions; and obvious "no choice"-type of figures.

Three years ago at TRU, I paid $60 + tax for the 86 Movie Unicron repaint...that was a solid figure.

Jetfire comes close, right?

Unicron was designed and released at 2003 for Armada, you can't compare the plastic of 10 years ago to now a days. Unicron is heavier than most of the transformers.

I would say the JetFire's plastic is better than the average recent FOC, TFP ones.

I know, I was needing an excuse to post something.

But seriously, is he close to being like UNI 2.0 Silverbolt's "solid-ness"? I'm specifically mentioning him due to the long legs, "backpack"-ness, and of course being jets.

I think he is better than the Silverbolt. Plastic is similar, but the transformation is clever, and Silverbolt's back side leg is empty, this one is only half-empty.
Of course he is way more expensive than SIliverbolt too.

Same here, ~ 30$ at Walmart, and it feels like that's what it should be worth anyways!!!!

Walmart has Leader class Jetfire for $29.99 so that always makes things a bit easier, right?
