Modern Era Cobra De Aco (Steel Cobra)
Based on a 1985 figure only available in Brazil.
I changed him a little with a more appropriate head & lower legs.

He has been quoted for stating, "The Joe who will ever stop me is hasn't been born yet !"
As you can see he has a talent for destroying Transformers that cross his path !

The contest requires the use of at least 80% GI Joe 25th Ann. parts.
I decided to go with 100% 25th parts on all 3 entries.

Break down...
Head: Cobra Trooper
Torso: Sgt. Flash
Arms: Sgt. Flash
Upper Legs: Sgt. Flash
Lower legs/knees: Zartan
Helmet/visor: Sgt. Flash
Back pack/laser gun: Sgt. Flash
Vest: Beach Head
Rifle: Beach Head
Explosives pack: Snake Eyes(comic pack)

Painted entirely with Games Workshop/Citadel paints.
The red Cobra symbol is a Reprolabels.com sticker.

WHAT IF ? ...Snake Eyes Was The Cobra Ninja ?

Snake Eyes, as if being devastated by the death of his family wasn't enough.
His mentor, The Hard Master, was murdered in his presence during an Arashikage Clan training exercise.
Snake Eyes had heard someone outside just prior to an arrow going through his mentor so he gave chase.
When other clan members including The Young Master saw what was going on they gave chase but could not catch what seemed to be a fleeing Snake Eyes.
Snake Eyes now realizing that chasing the murderer(who escaped in a nearby helicopter with a marking of a red cobra)made him look guilty as sin to the Arashikage Clan.
He fled and sought out the Cobra organization hoping to work his way up in the ranks as a cold blooded ninja assassin to eventually uncover the true identity of his mentor's murderer and clear his name with the Arashikage Clan, no matter what the cost.
He waits...knowing revenge on the true murderer will not be merciful.
The rest is ...WHAT IF ? history.

WHAT IF ? ...Storm Shadow Was The G.I. Joe Commando ?

After the death of his uncle, Tommy wanted a chance to travel around the world fighting terrorist organizations specializing in taking out top leaders & their hired guns.
Hoping to one day find the murderer of his uncle, former "brother" Snake Eyes, amongst terrorist ranks and take revenge against the cowardly betrayer.
He got in touch(accidentally) with former 'Nam vet Lonso Wilkinson about recruitment in US Armed Forces, the rest is ...WHAT IF ? history.

The top 3 have been selected as well as 7 "honorable mentions"(my Steel Cobra made "honorable mention").
I can't really say I'm feeling any of the top 3 for a GI Joe 25th Ann. custom contest, but they are all great customs.
Kinda weird, some of the entries I thought would win or at least place in the top 3 didn't even get an honorable mention...guess I'm getting too old
