CAD vs. USD
noticed the CAD has risen almost a nickel vs. USD in the wake of the US upset.

I could be mistaken, but when i put USD vs. CAD into google last week CAD was just over $0.70, now it's $0.74+

Yeah, looks like I was wrong on that one. At any rate, USD seems to be increasing in value now.

It would appear the C$ vs the US$ I weakening. But the C$ to other international currencies is strengthening.
In the two graphs, over the last week you can clearly see the dramatic drop on 11/9. Not good if you're buying from the US (TFSource, BigBadToyStore etc...) but better if you're buying from Asian stores (robotkingdom, Anime-Export, nippon-yassan etc...). Some of those actually accept Canadian dollars, but others only in Yen or US.
It may be worth your while to shop around.
