Re: Ebay flooded with Animated toys
I'm not sure but I think cartoon network isn't readily available so most kids may not have got access to TF Animated yet so their knowledge of it is still low. They know TF Movie and figures and they recognize the TF movie packages so i guess Hasbro will keep that up.
And I don't see Hasbro putting up 2 lines at the same time that are so similar in size and price points. Then again that's what they'll do with Animated and Classics so who knows maybe Hasbro will cave and ship out early.
Or else they'll make us wait and drive us nuts so when it comes out, everyone will end up buying everything.

Re: Ebay flooded with Animated toys
Well Animated is now confirmed as scheduled for April release in the UK. I wouldn't be too surprised if we get wave 1 around the same time (2 and a bit months from now), but we'll have to wait and see (I imagine further Animated release schedules MUST be coming out soon).

Re: Ebay flooded with Animated toys
Due to the cartoon being so kickass in recent episodes, I am now 100% sold on this series. I had my hestitations & critiques at first - and still do where certain things are concerned - but there's no question that I'll be devouring this line once it hits stores.
That said, as tempted as I've been to grab some of these figures off eBay, I think I'm going to wait until I know for sure what Hasbro plans on doing. Recent rumors indicate that there's a Leader class Bulkhead in our future (as well as Megatron), so I don't think buying the Voyager versions this far in advance is a good idea - personally speaking. I think the safest bets at this point are the Deluxe Autobots and Voyager Starscream, but I'm just as happy to wait and pay retail price rather than go the inflated eBay route.
Still, I'm looking forward to your guys' reviews once you get the figures.
