Come to work, enter my office, close and lock the door, check my "sites", turn on my music, start working.
That's been my routine for 7 years where I am now. Some deviations in days where I don't listen to anything at all but for the most part I cannot work without music.
A sampling of albums that I listened to recently is:
- A Love Supreme - John Coltrane
- The Fragile - Nine Inch Nails
- Wrecking Ball - Emmy Lou Harris
- Psalm 69 - Ministry
- Hasta La Vista Baby - U2
- The Fragile (Discs 1 and 2) - Nine Inch Nails
- It Takes A Nations of Millions To Hold Us Back - Public Enemy
- Louder Than Love - Soundgarden
- Body Talk - Robyn
- Before The Dawn Heals Us - M83
- Getz/Gilberto - Stan Getz & Joao Gilberto
- The Dark Side Of The Moon - Pink Floyd
- and of course, a modified playlist that combines Vince DiCola's score and the 20th Anniversary soundtrack album of TFTM '86, arranged in order of how they are played in the movie
My diverse musical taste reminded me of a line from a
Tragically Hip song (hence the title of this thread:
Avoid trends and cliches
Don't try to be up to date
Any of you in your office/workspace listening to music while you waste precious company time trolling these boards too?
