If they just reissued this deluxe I would probably buy it. Not really feeling the voyager. Have to see some reviews when they come out.

I forgot they did this guy in Titan's Return. Possibly because I never got those box sets with him in it.
But I do agree, that one looks much nicer, at least in alt mode.
This new one, the robot is fine, the colours are organized and it's a decent, yet random, colour scheme. I don't have any attachment to this character though.
The alt mode though, is so disjointed looking, it barely looks like it could theoretically fly. It's like, Apeface as a jet bad. Just because it has a nosecone and some semblance of wings, doesn't make it a jet.

Cyclonus was a sleek looking, futuristic jet, but looked like it could fly. It has the most satisfying transformation, where everything goes together perfectly, and does it better than any previous version. This Metalhawk just looks half baked, and shoehorned in. They re-molded almost everything, and lost all what made Cyclonus good. They changed the way the chest comes together too, now it's just one big chunk.

Huh. I noticed the box art of the jet mode has a more complicated nosecone transformation like Cyclonus (the multiple layers collapsed into each other to make it super long). But the model for the other pictures has a simplified transformation with shorter nose cone.

Is it just me or does his alt mode scream Pretender Starscream. Even the guns for tail wings looks like the old toy

The TR version was really good. Funny how even though the colours are similar, the grey works, where the white doesn't. (For me at least).
