Re: Transformers Vault Sighted at Costco

I wonder if Costco here in Taipei would have it? Debating whether or not to go to one of the most unenjoyable places in the world on a TF hunting longshot.

It's better at that price. While I like the concept, there is nothing NEW in it really...

Re: Transformers Vault Sighted at Costco

The book has some nice facts and some good pictures. It's nothing outstanding but for $20 it makes a nice little package that skips you lightly through the Transformer years.

There's a bit of insight into DOTM and Sentinel Prime's role which I was not aware of... of course I haven't been paying much attention to the plot thus far.

This is perfect timing. I've planned to use my Costco rebate to get the Lord of the Rings extended edition blu-ray that comes out next week. Now I can get this book too.

Re: Transformers Vault Sighted at Costco

I took a leisurely stroll through the book today.

In terms of content, it's kind of lightweight. This is not a Transformers encyclopedia. It's good at sketching narratives for the toy lines, comics, shows, and history.

What is nifty about it are the pullouts and foldouts. My favorite is the tech specs sheet with the red overlay, each of which has its own pocket. Also nifty are the pullout TF: The Movie poster from Japan and the promo catalog.

It's a high quality book with great pictures. I read only a few bits today, so I have a bunch to go back to. I feel like it was 22.99 well spent.
