I think you can get those Ikea detolfs cheaper than shipping from Ikea directly. Save about $30 a case. Local pickup in HRM.
Wouldn't hurt to see if they have any in stock.
Thank you.

Hey if you are planning to part with them I'd be interested in Grimlock for sure.
As far as them as a whole, I have some already and likely couldn't afford them all

I scored this cabinet off of Kijiji for $50. Keeps hands off.
Wow that is a great deal for such a nice cabinet. I want one of those!

Saw it on Kijiji and snagged it quick. I'm soooo happy I got it.
I added the wireless lights with a remote from Costco for $35.
Before this I had them stuck on a shelf in the fricken closet.

Re: Thinking of getting out of the toy biz

I tried, several times, to do what you are contemplating. But like Michael Corleone so famously said in Godfather 3:

Back in '97 I had just graduated from University and decided to give away all "extraneous" things which meant a whole tub of G1 toys (including metal plates on the trailer floor Prime, painted Matsushiro emblem on the wing Jetfire, Wheeljack, ruber hose not cracked Shockwave, and others) ended up at my church's toy drive.

10 years later my newborn son "bought" me a Classics Jetfire which acted as a gateway for re-collecting everything I gave away.

At present I've sold off all my CHUGS/Bayverse/TFA in favor of strictly G1s and MPs. The journey here was costly but fun and like I said I tried a few times to give it up. Yet I wonder if things would have been different if I stored that tub away.

So my advice to you is invest in a good solid Rubbermaid tub that seals, fill it up with your plastic crack and stick it in your crawl space/attic. If anything it'll be cool to rediscover them in the future especially if you ever have kids.

Re: Thinking of getting out of the toy biz

i've gotten five detolfs from kijiji and i live a long way away from one, people have them, and will sell them on there for around 40-50. just keep your eyes open, only needing one, it shouldn't take you more than a month to get one searching that way.

Shipping is the same if you buy 1 or buy 4. I was going to order 2.

So I go to jysk, they have something similar to the detolf, and they were 20% off. I bought 2, assembled one, I have to work so that's all the time I had. I bought those lights at costco, and they are amazing. Now I need to track down some glass door locks.

Thanks for all the help and advice.

That door knob looks dangerously close to your detolf shelf. Thundercracker looks a bit worried and Soundwave is ready to eject.
