Re: MP sideswipe - checking condition
Mine wasn't too bad. Nothing I couldn't live with. However I know that if I got a particularly bad paint job, I'd probably be trying to pawn it off for cheap myself. You gotta ask yourself, if the seller thinking the same thing?

Re: MP sideswipe - checking condition
i just called the seller, he is willing to take photos of the problematic areas and let me decide if i would proceed with the trade or not, so we will see what happens. if its not as bad as the one in the youtube review, i will prolly take it
for those of you who PM me to forward the seller to them, the seller is outside of north america so dont bother
and the reasoning for my $65 offer in terms of pricepoint: unlike what ebay and north american market and online prices indicate, in hong kong sideswipe MISB (not sure if piledrivers or coins are included) is selling locally for around $100-110USD, so given that i think $65 for a loose one is fair in my opinion.
i wouldnt conclude just yet that the seller is trying to pawn off a really bad dud for cheap. however, i would question or not so sure if $65 is worth it for a masterpiece figure with such QC issues (in a general sense). i certainly wouldnt pay current north american market prices for it, MISB or loose

Re: MP sideswipe - checking condition
Mine looks pretty much like in the review, except there a spot near the back where it looks like the painter ran their nail over the part, then tried to cover it up with the wet paint in the surrounding area. You'll know pretty much the QC right away with proper pics.

Re: MP sideswipe - checking condition
guess i got lucky, the paint job is better than the one on youtube. there are paint flaws for sure but i can live with it i guess, considering the $65 price
thank you all for your insights

Re: MP sideswipe - checking condition
I don't see any flaws especially compared to my Sideswipe. For one, it looks like the hood and roof are pretty much the same shade of red, unlike mine. Think you got a pretty good deal on that MP.

i kinda freaked out at how bad the paint job QC was on the door panels and throughout in vehicle mode. i have decided to cancel the trade and skip this MP altogether, if all sideswipes would have this type of paint issues
im not a terribly picky person, but i was hoping for a better qc for a MP figure. fyi i offered $65 for the trade, but it seems the me that its more worthwhile to spend the money on something else, like a third party product with better QC (unless the seller assures me that the paint job is not as bad as the one on the youtube video)
thanks again to all for your time
PS is MP red alert any better or is he just as bad?

Woah.... that paint job does look shitty there in that video... color seems mismatch on most panels.. It's like they brush painted it instead of spraying it. I even see couple of big dirt nibs on the hood.. that's shitty to pay so much for something this crap.......
