Pascal kinda reviews: ROTF Voyager Jungle Attack Ironhide

Not a full-on review per say, just some random thought on that kickass new version.

WHAT'S NEW

-head: that's the new one from the new ROTF grey version)

-neck plate: new design, lower profile to allow for a ball-joint neck... now the head is more poseable than ever!

-windshield: now solid blue-painted grey plastic

-doors: all new "armored doors" with molded reinforcement plates and rivets... also, the rear doors are no longer attached to the front doors, they're now attached to the roof and they fold up

-roof: for the reasons I just mentionned, plus there are now additional lights and bars attached to it

-rear window: different mold, with new exhaust pipes and bars that fold out in robot mode

-front bumper: totally new design, now removable so it be combined with the missile launcher to form a crossbow

-backpack main hinge: new design, now snaps into place on the back (oddly enough, the back piece is unchanged and always had that tab the new hinge now clips to) and also allows the rear window assembly to turn around 180 degrees for robot mode (so it's now upside-down with rear doors & bars deployed)

-weapons: 6 all-new weapons including 4 guns (including one with a launching missile), 2 swords and 4 clips allowing various mounting optionsin both modes... weapons can also be combined in various ways via pegs & holes... also, the 2 main guns that go under the truck in alt mode each have a small molded running board to make the truck mode look more complete

-paint apps: some good looking silver on the feet, shins, crotch and head... silver stripes in truck mode... bronze on the chest plate... yellow lights on the truck and the front bumper

Some people won't like the jungle deco, but if you just want to judge the mold for what it is, it's definitely the ultimate version of Ironhide. Feels like a completely new toy. The new weaponry is impressive and versatile, the poseability has been improved (head), the transformation feels new with the added few steps and the overall armored look is kickass. You will be getting a lot of toy for the price compared to say, Voyager Megatron or The Fallen. Get it!

Ball jointed head? Interesting....though I'd rather paint his eyes blues...looks like he has conjunctivitis :P

Looks like a good figure. I'm looking forward to him....he got gatz

I thought I read that some where too.

At least it is not just another repaint.
