This may have a ring of truth to it. But at the end of the day- as we all saw Fanstoys come down from the clouds with their Omega Supreme pricing a bit, the real culprit is the collectors community in general.

It's the people who spell out in caplock "TAKE MY MONEY NOW" and also the preorder hype that people get sucked into. All it does is raise the expectations of them who formulate business models and sales projections.

And the losers? The very customers who fall victim to a manufactured sense of urgency. There's no need for urgency when it's proven that there will be reissue after reissue till the end of time

My TRU was nice enough to take a raincheck for a 30% off sale. Got there first thing in the morning and got one of the exactly two figures that arrived (only one case). Still my favourite find of all time.

I was very lucky to get my Prime for $59.97. It was originally $99.99, got a rain cheque from a 30% TRU sale which brought it down to $69.97 and then I used a Kelloggs' $10 off coupon on top of that. That was on of thee best TRU purchases I ever made.

on a side note AliExpress has a really good money back guarantee ordered some stuff that came late and they gave a refund, told the seller after it came and the seller said it was ok did not need to pay back.

The sad part is even at that price it'll probably sell out. The only real hope is that Toys R Us over ordered this time instead of under ordered like last time.
