I was worried when they said "chrome orange spoiler" in a previous post. But it's GOLD BABY!! Ox Studio Japan Rodimus Convoy style!

I hope we will get a Henkei Tankor with a fully chromed trailer/comb of doom, painted inner legs to match the rest of the plane, black fists and painted arms to match the rest of the trailer.

I got SS yesterday and noticed they didn't paint the sides or rear of the head and painted the arms so the jet mode looks better. Very nice job on that one.

Re: Henkei Hot Rodimus Revealed finally! OH BABY!

Save for Megatron, I vastly prefer the Hasbro versions of these figures, especially Classics Rodimus. I guess I'm a minority considering how many people are praising the Henkei versions to high heaven, but I always thought the updated mold designs were homage enough. I just don't see the need to also mimic their original bare minimum paint schemes or add (what I consider to be) out of place looking chrome too.

Regardless, at least there's options out there for the people who want these figs to look even more G1. Choice is good. Should be interesting to see how they modify the new Universe Classics *c'moooon maroon colored Powerglide!*

Re: Henkei Hot Rodimus Revealed finally! OH BABY!

The chromey engine I like, and the fact that, based on the above pictures, he doesn't have a rubsign (I found it out of place on Classic Rodimus) I like as well. Otherwise, it doesn't stand out to me as anything special. Sure the hood is more G1, but it doesn't blend in with the rest of him ni car mode anymore.

I'm with Inception here, about most of the Henkei. Most of the them, to me, are not worth plunking down $30+ per figure again, when I think the Classics versions are just fine. I find that the Henkei guys usually look too G1. The somewhat "random" chrome bugs me a bit on the Henkei figures as well.

And it still stands that the only Henkei I'm getting is Megatron; not because I think the Classics version is worse (in fact, I actually really like the Classics paint scheme), but rather because the Henkei version is different enough to warrant buying a second Megatron. By that train of thought, Astrotrain is highly tempting, but the rest I can pass on so far.

I'm loving what henkei's done so far; Rodimus looks sweet. Prime, Megatron, and Astrotrain are vast improvements to their hasbro counterparts. I hope they do the following:

Henkei Powerglide (in maroon anime colours)
Henkei Bluestreak (in blue & grey diaclone colours)

Re: Henkei Hot Rodimus Revealed finally! OH BABY!

Only two Henkei Classics appeal to me at the moment: Megatron and Astrotrain. Grimlock is ok but not a must have for me. I can stick with the Hasbro Classics with the rest.

I hope Takara will do a red/maroon Henkei Powerglide. That I don't mind paying for

Bleh... He's not different enough from Hasbro's for me and the mould itself is already sub-par.
