Hated it then, and still hate it now. MK is about ninjas, technology, and magic. That garbage was like Fight Club meets Saw.

I kinda hate it when they bring in a guest character for a WHOLE franchises sequel, like Darth Vader in Soul Calibur (or Link in the Gamecube version). Crossovers of whole franchinses spanning the whole game fine, but not this little blip, it almost seems last minute. Anyhow if the whole DCU could not help Mortal Kombat, I dunno how some god killer will.

I agree that a guest character in a franchise reboot is irritating. But, the MK/DCU game was far from MK's roots.
