Re: What's a good way to unload a lot of figures all at once?

transformerland.com buys collections, if you're willing to ship to Florida. I don't know how much the site owner offers, but I think you can send him pictures and/or descriptions and he'll give you a quote.

Edit: Start here: http://www.transformerland.com/sell-transformers.php

I once tried to sell a lot of 3rd party toys to an online e-tailer a few years ago. He offered me $250. I ended up making $1100 selling them myself.

Re: What's a good way to unload a lot of figures all at once?

I sold my g1 reissue (TFC, HasTak some G1) all in 1 lot. I did not want to take time to put on cl or kijiji so I sold it in one lot. I asked someone who was a seller if my lot was good priced and he offered to purchase. I think if you want to sell as a lot make it enticing by selling at a good price - even if means taking a slight hit.

My two cents - and now I have money to buy other tf's

Lots of great advice here, lots to think about.

But....

You did see the part about how I want to make money to get figures I need, right? Neither of these accomplish that.

I have thought about that, but tables at shows can be expensive, especially a bigger show like those put on by the TFCon guys. So I'd also have to make enough money to cover the cost of my table too. And I just don't have that much to sell.

The fees are not that bad you looking at 15% tops and there is no haggling, lowballing etc. If you are looking to get top $ that is your best option otherwise you may very well be sitting on this stuff longer than you want to. Bruticus82 is right, selling as a lot is meant for ppl who want to flip. Best bang for your buck is individually, more work but if want the money you gotta put in the time

How about a flea-market table/cube?

Your profit is probably tied into how much time you have to invest. You could get lucky but most likely it's the case if you want to maximize profit you'll have to be patient and sacrifice the time. And if you want to maximize time saved, you're going to have to sacrifice in profit.

contact Tonestar. He's a local seller at the cons.
He might be interested.
I just bought a figure from him.
Great guy. do a search you can see he's pretty good around the TO area (I didn't realize he had a good selling profile on the forum, before I bought from him)

If you don't want the expense of a table ..packing ..unpacking traveling .etc..then post here with prices and sell the remains when you want out at a discounted price in a lot...i am sure the great folks here will help you out....it all depends on the effort you want to put forth...for the gains....
