What Would Be in the Future?

It's not December yet, but there are only 4 more waves here (Wave 5, 6, 7, 8) and the ROTF Dlx line is practically done. In the next year or so, I think specialty repaints (Like Allspark Power or Premium Line) will occur.

What specialty line will you think they will make? Will they make completely new specialty lines, don't do any at all and drag on with the ROTF line , stick with the old ones, or start a completely new line of figures? (Universe, etc.)

Put down ur thoughts here because I want to know what you guys are thinking.

Nice thread!

I think Hasbro has invested alot of effort on the movie line so I think they're in the spotlight for like 10 more months.

However, I'm sure they'll have the repaints like you mentioned. They repainted Cybertron basics for the movie 1 line, so who knows for this?

I'm guessing they'll re-release some un-repainted toys in this line. Maybe Universe classics Galvatron and Cyclonus will join as movie Galvatron & Strafe?

Buster Prime will come as a premium repaint
Hopefully jetfire and megs get the same treatment (with some reengineering, megs arms, jetfires kibble)

ROTF will be our major line for another year...hell we'll probably still see figures on the shelf come 2011. As we've seen at SDCC they are going to keep up 2010 with new molds and gimmicks such as "combination", interchangeable weapons, and rivalries.

The rest of the Animated line still has to hit shelves but its in limbo right now as Hasbro is holding out to see if they can make them store exclusives.

Those are as close as you're going to get to actual factual answers out of this thread...anything else is just theories.

If we're going for a repaint line like All Spark Power....I dunno....Matrix Glow?? They did it for Ultra Magnus...but seriosuly I don't think this will happen again, the last time All Spark coloured figures appeared they didn't sell well at all. Hasbro even said they want to avoid doing the "premium line" again.

There are several new ROTF molds planned for 2010. Leader Starscream, the new Voyager Ironhide, Voyager Mindwipe, Voyager Bludgeon, Deluxe Elita-1, Deluxe Ratchet, Deluxe Lockdown and a bunch of Scouts and Deluxes I forgot the name of. And we'll probably see a bunch of repaints and remolds. The ROTF is far from over...
