PulseCon 2023 reveals

Sorry no pics just yet, but they'll be up soon.

Pretty much everything that was already leaked in those lists was shown.

Surprised the Rock Lords homage are actually vehicle alt modes covered in rocks. Weird, not sure I liked it.

Gotta run, but the biggest news/reveal to me was that there will NOT be a Haslab this year. They are holding off until next year for the official 40th anniversary.

Glad to have a break from HasLab.

I think the thing people might be most excited for is the new poster art, since it shows Tidalwave (finally - although merging with Megatron may make him smaller than many desired) and Magmatron maybe might tickle some people's fancy.

Re: PulseCon 2023 reveals

It's 2023 and I'm most excited for a new toy of core class Tasmanian Kid.

Rock Lords are kind of neat but I think I'll wait for the inevitable repaints in some nicer colours.

Tigerhawk to fill in my Beast Wars collection but otherwise my wallet is safe.

Is it wrong that i wanted the rock lords to just be transforming rocks like the old days? Little disappointed they are just cars with rock textures.

Re: PulseCon 2023 reveals

You'd have a pretty hard time getting the suits to sign off on selling a bunch of rocks to kids. Now if they transformered into a ball of slime on the other hand....

I was looking forward to Tigerhawk as well but he looks really clunky and top heavy. I was disappointed. Might just be picking up Snarl (Tasmanian Kid) from this wave.

If they had made rock lords that were rocks and doubled as weaponizers and dropped the price a bit, I?d be more interested. Not so keen on rock bike and rock truck.

Re: PulseCon 2023 reveals

I don't see Tigerhawk has any big improvement over old one, probably only articulation is better IMHO. So money saved.

Re: PulseCon 2023 reveals

EnergonMegs no
TazKid sure
Tiny rock, sure
Bigger rock, I guess
Rescue bot, maybe? I unno
Windblade I guess - I’d like to say I’m fatigued on WB, but the last one was what, TR? They really did wait like, 4-5 years on her, after absolutely glutting the market back in the 2010s
AnimatedBB, I guess - I love animated but this fig looks a bit whack
AnimatedOP, hell ya (way better than BB)
Thundertron no
Tigerhawk ya I guess - it’s true he doesn’t look much better than the OG, but you gotta support what you wanna see, and not buying him isn’t gonna get us OUR QUICKSTRIKES PPL
Magmatron? F*ck ya, I’ll bite
tidalWave, he better be hella stonkin big - I already have the TR strength set tiny TidalWave, now he has to be BIGG

Though I was really hoping the outpouring of Animated would net us Animated Omega Supreme for United’s titan class
I mean, is that stupid? They’ve already done G1 Omega, AND the Ark! Seems like a foregone conclusion imo
