I think, on some level, that the Human Alliance figures are a test bed for a Joe/TF crossover line.

Think about it, little tiny Joes made to scale with basic/deluxe/ and voyager sized TF's. The other way; making the TF's to scale with the 3 3/4 inch Joes would result in a bunch of wildly huge TF's. And while that would be cool, they would likely be prohibitively expensive,

I remember having a conversation with a friend back in late 2007 when the first GI Joe live action movie was coming out and I was like "We got a GI Joe movie, it was called Transformers by Micheal Bay!"

Lennox = Duke
Epps= Roadblock
Fig = I dunno.... a Spanish Tunnel Rat??

Long time listener, infrequent poster. Love the podcast.

A suggestion for a future topic: DVD reviews.

We're all going to own at least one version of a box set or movie but, for example, is the complete series Matrix box set worth owning if I already have the box sets from Rhino?

Re: Canadian Slag Episode 52 - Crossing Over With Canadian Slag

A good show, you need to work on the Star Wars chatter but we'll forgive you.

In general I think Star Wars Transformers are a pretty big fail, no arguement there.

That said one attraction to them that I would mention is the awesome vehicle modes that they did have. The vehicle modes were so awesome that as a Star Wars fan I picked up the Grievous just to display him in Starfighter mode.

And I love the Yoda. Ugly, Yoda not is.

I'd also suggest that some of the molds are better than others, particularly some of the newer ones.

That said I'm defending something that own only 3 of(counting my custom), so I think Daniel only needs to look in the mirror to get an idea about who is buying these.

I'd also suggest that to a point the Star Wars line applealed to fans of both franchises to an extent while the Marvel line only appealed to Transformers fans. I can't prove that of course but there has to be some reason we see so many more Star Wars Transformers than Marvel ones.

Re: Canadian Slag Episode 52 - Crossing Over With Canadian Slag

After a long absence,I return to listening to this Podcast.I missed you boys.

Since you guys spoke of crossovers,I'm surprised you didn't mention the Disney/Transformers Crossover line that Japan did a few years back...would have been an interesting take to see how that differs from the previous ones you mention (That is if you guys own any of them)

One thing that I tend to notice about the Marvel/TF line...if Venom and Grey Hulk are the only villains of the toyline so far,it makes me wonder why there hasn't been any more.I'm still personally waiting for my Doctor Doom,Green Goblin (Which would make an awesome toy imo),etc.figures,but I don't really know whether or not the Crossovers line will revive after The Avengers film...guess I'll have to wait and see.

Plus,Galactus...damn that would have been awesome.

Not much to say on the Star Wars talk,since I agree with Phil's points here (I also made some sort of long rant on the Thread: http://www.cybertron.ca/boards/showthread.php?t=34439 )

Loved your little review on 'Only Human',though I personally think that the Episode would have been more successful (Or worse,depending on the functions of script during the Third Season) if it were a two-parter,frankly because I wanted to know more about the fate of Cobra,more of the struggles of the Autobots being human,their actual bodies being used,etc.,etc.but it was a fun little Episode regardless.

Which begs the question,would you guys be reviewing 'Human Error' next?lol

Oh Animorphs...the one toyline I was never interested,the one TV series I didn't bother to watch,and the book series that I only read once before getting into EverWorld (Which I find the better series from K.A. Applegate)...but if the toys are that dirt cheap,even by today's standards...I may be crazy enough to get them....just because.

Episode felt short,but a nice little aftermath from the TFCon madness.Can't wait to hear more (And hopefully I'll listen when it comes out)
