If you're logged into your account it will show the prices with the edge discount applied.

gamestop stonks rise as people buy more for the "all new 10% off sale"
it totally does encourage sales though if you can get your discount without jumping silly hoops

You're just seeing the 10% Edge discount applied to the price.

Then they probably don't realize what's happening since this is fairly new. You're lucky if they actually end up doing it for you. But they'll catch on pretty quick.

It's easy to check though. Log out of your account and you'll see prices will return to their normal price without the discount. When you log back in you'll get the 10% off price.

In order to apply the discount they usually do a return... and then put the order through their POS. Which will have the original price with the edge discount IE the same price you paid online.

If you manage to get someone to give you a double discount I suspect it will be very dependant on the person you get at cash and I expect them to only do it once or twice before catching on.

But if not.... well score I guess

You are right and this is new. Seems to coincide with the change to GameStop because it didn't use to show my edge discount before even when logged in. At least it saves me from having to go in store for the price adjustement.

Yup! 100% to do with the GameStop change over.

And yes, as nice as it is to go into the store to see if they have stuff on my way home, I don't want to have to spend time to get my money back and it's just more work for the staff. So definitely glad for this change in the system.

the only way this had anything to do with the change is if they specifically held back site updates knowing they were going to do the change. Most likely this is one of the many updates promised a few months ago and would have happened regardless. If it was directly related it would have happened when they shifted to gamestop.ca not days later
