Fall of Cybertron bruticus
Hey everyone! I want some input and opinions on something. recently i pre-ordered the G2 colors FOC Bruticus off Amazon. Then, when watching both the reviews that are upon Youtube, I learned that the figures have alot of tabs that seem weak and could break. I'm totally crazy about the condition of my figures, and I really don't want Bruticus to not be able to combine bcause of some tabs. If anyone has the SDCC release and could let me know how strong they think the tabs are and if they'll stand up to long-term use, or has expereince with a figure with a similar issue, it would be much appreciated, because at this point, that's what im basing my purchase on. Thanks!

Re: Fall of Cybertron bruticus
I have SDCC Brut. and have transformers only certain figures a few times. Namely Brawl. I have had any problems to date about taps, but on Onslaught I do have stress marks where the crotch for Brut folds up. But that doesnt bother me, as that piece doesn't impede on the vehicle, combined, or robot mode.
In Optibotimus's review, he complains a lot about the taps, but after I played with mine, in all honesty, you wont break them. As long as you know where and when to use them, your fine.
Long-term use, it depends on how often you plan on transforming him is all modes. Bruticus, vehicles, and individual robots.

Re: Fall of Cybertron bruticus
I'll get the retail version eventually. The non-game-accurate colours don't bother me too much. May or may not get the wreckers repaints. Right now I'm a sucker for Cybertronian modes.
As for worrying about breakage, I've heard the arm sockets and pegs for Bruticus are weaker than they should be. Articulating the arms tends to cause stress marks and even broken pieces.
If I find stuff too tight I'll loosen some screws and test. I'd rather lose a bit posability holding in exchange for durability.

Re: Fall of Cybertron bruticus
I think for the arm/leg connectors, a lot of the breaks are coming from improperly trying to rotate the arms.
I've popped them on/off a few times and no breaks yet.

Think of the plastic G1 Predaking and how delicate the arm sockets and pegs are if they are not moved in a particular fashion... I believe this is in a similar league.

Probably. From what I hear, people breaking it are probably trying to rotate it at a point where it doesn't rotate.
I'm not convinced that the port style is the best, mind, but I have no stress marks as of yet.

Reviewers are a bit more careful than the average 8 year old out there.
I'm concerned that mishandling the joints may have some backlash from the average consumer's parents. That would mean less combiners in the future.

hmm good point, but I was plannign on taking care of it :P I just absolutely HATE buying a figure before it's released and then finding out it has problems. To me, the connector points seem alright, maybe not the best, but I was actually contemplating if those would break too.
