Re: Do you guys have a G1 collection?
I have a box of G1 figures that I keep, but are not part of my collection per se.
I think that this is all of them:
Acctually kind of pathetic...lol.

Don't have that many G1 toys, just the SDCC Reissues of Blaster and Soundwave.

Re: Do you guys have a G1 collection?
I only collect figures that are related to the original G1 cartoon whether they are vintage/reissue or the updated Henkei/Classics/Generations, etc. As well, I only collect figures of characters that I remember as a kid which is primarily 1984, 1985, 1986.
I display the newer updated lines mainly in robot mode as they are nice updates and in many cases, much more accurate to the cartoon than their original G1 counterparts. For the G1 toys it is the opposite: I display most of them in their alt modes as they are more accurate to the cartoon than the updated lines. Almost all of my G1 toys are re-issues as I prefer those, but am purchasing vintage for toys that do not have re-issue versions.

Re: Do you guys have a G1 collection?
My G1 collection is what I consider the centerpiece of my collection. I'm only one figure away from completing what I want from the G1 series (that figure being Fortress Maximus). Some of them are reissues, such as the recent Piranacon reissue.

Re: Do you guys have a G1 collection?
I grew up with G1 and I will not rest until I have every last one! mind you I only need about 20 more to complete the entire line.

Re: Do you guys have a G1 collection?
I only have a few, but if I had (way) more money, I would probably get them all. For now I just get the bigger/more important pieces.

Re: Do you guys have a G1 collection?
I prefer getting the reissue versions of the G1's i like. Vintage ones are either too expensive or too worn out.

Re: Do you guys have a G1 collection?
I mostly just collect the ones I like, which tends to be combiners, headmasters, a few Pretenders and Action Masters.
I recently made the decision to purge most of my 84-85 items in favor of having most of the characters represented in C.H.U.G. lines.
There's still quite a few G1's I want to add to my collection, but I'm willing to wait until I find them at a good price. I usually tend to save my G1 collecting for when the new products in stores don't interest me.
