I often keep the front row on a shelf in vehicle mode and the back row in bot mode. That way, everything is visible, and I don't knock any bots down when I reach for one in the back row.

I have storage issues so I usually convert my toys to alt mode so that they are easier to store in plastic tubs.

I generally keep them all in bot mode to save space and make dynamic poses, but I will frequently run through most of them and change them into their alts for about a week and then change them back.
rare exceptions for bots that are too hard to transform or have very scary transformation steps that I would rather avoid causing damage to the figure by doing more than once or twice.
