Hey all - for those of you who have bought something from someone in the US, how long did it typically take to arrive? The guy shipped my transformer friday october 5th and i havent received anything. should i be worried? or does it usually take this long (or longer)?

Re: Shipping from the US?
It usually takes about 2-2.5 weeks for my stuff to arrive from the US, usually I get them around 2 weeks though.

Re: Shipping from the US?
Doesn't it always depend on where it's coming from the States as well?
I know cities like Toronto, Montreal, and cities in between get mail fast since that's where a majority of Canada's trucks travel within for all domestic/international shipments.
I get stuff quicker from NY state than somewhere in Wisconsin, so you get my drift.

Re: Shipping from the US?
I buy alot from the US and it usually takes 7-10 days. Whenever it takes more then 2 weeks, it always mean that the package got held by customs and I will get dutied.
I'm sorry if this is your case bud!

Re: Shipping from the US?
damn i hope not. i have already discovered that shipping via UPS is the worst idea ever...someone in portland sent me MP-03 and the brokerage fee they charge came to $35!
I thought USPS would be better...but i guess not. hopefully the charge is less than $35...

its different depending on a lot of things really, such as how you get stuff sent as well. If you are the paranoid type see if you can get tracking included as well

Re: Shipping from the US?
I waited 3+ weeks on a package from LA to Calgary not to long ago so long delays can happen like this from time to time. It had nothing to do with customs as it had no duty or anything on it, so don't believe it's customs every time either. According to the tracking number it took 2 weeks to get from LA to Vancouver which leads me to believe it got forgotten somewhere on the US end.
Typically though its about a week on most packages, two at most. I figure yours will pop up either late this week or early next.

Re: Shipping from the US?
There is a lot of crazy little factors too. Say he ships via US Postal, but they only ship to Canada on tuesdays and fridays, and he shipped your package on saturday, so right there 3 days are wasted in the post office waiting to be taken out to the mail service. Then there is waiting at customs due to other packages being searched before yours goes through cleanly, ect ect. Normally, I give all my ebay buys from the US about a month or so before I begin to worry and msg them.

Re: Shipping from the US?
Another thing to keep in mind about delays like this is in my experience if it's customs they will usually hold it up by like 2-3 days, if your waiting around the 3+ week mark for a package its more often then not a postal goof.
