So in case your not part of the Vancouver Toy Collectors group on Facebook, apparently there is a guy locally here going around to shops, and picking up orders on hold by other people. At the moment, seems like hes using the facebook group to figure out who is who, and where they may have ordered new items from.

Someone found out, when Toy Traders phoned them, asking if there brother was picking up some new Marvel Legends he had on hold. The guy didn't have a brother, lol. The scammer also was messaging him on instagram or something, trying to dig for info.

Or at least let every shop know so they can black list the guy.

Even if your not part of the group, this guy could still snipe items on hold by anyone, by just phishing for info at a store about on hold items.

I got ID'd at A3U this past weekend when I picked up my order. The guy said it was because of this scammer or someone like him.

I'm totally ok with having to show ID in order to get my already paid for order. I'd rather that than be told that my order was already picked up by someone else.

I've been IDed every time, even when the person recognises me. Thought it was standard practice for the store.
