Even if sir Frank gets the role, as long as Transformers is a Michael Bay movie, there will NEVER be a proper Megatron.

After re-reading what Weaving said, I've come to the conclusion that Michael Bay is just being a whinny little bitch.
There's a difference between actually complaining about something and expressing some disappointment in the end result. Weaving doesn't say that it was a meaningless role to insult the character, but just indicates that there wasn't much meaning in the role for him. Given the context of the statement, as well as the fact that there was very little actual dialogue in the film for nearly any transformer, it's hardly surprising that two hours of dialogue work would feel meaningless when you were barely involved in the film in any real way.
Had Weaving gone off on a rant about how the film was poorly made or the actors were treated bad or something like that, then I could see a stronger reaction from Bay being justified, but this is just a case of him being an overly sensitive drama queen.
