Re: So this is why people are buying lots of Masterpiece Grimlocks
I saw someone listed a MP Grimlock for sale here on this board for $95 plus shipping yesterday. The thing is, scalpers are following our comments all over this board. They know which figs are highly anticipated and which ones are hard to find, without even having to do any leg-work themselves. The more we talk about how much we want a figure, the more we help those scalpers!

So we need an anticommunity forum? Everyone is a member but no one talks to each other?
Its a distribution problem, once the scalpers are loaded up and the shelf warmers are everywhere we'll all get one at a fair price.

Amen.
In the meantime take comfort in knowing there's a special level of Hell that awaits scalpers and their 50% markups...

The guy on Kijiji/Craigslist is worse, 'cause he's actually bragging about being a scalper. It's shocking, really.

Then why aren't they buying Tuner Mudflap? He is the greatest Transformers toy to EVER come out!

g1korus.com is scalping Grimlock for $100 and Animated Arcee for $30 and isn't he/she a member here? Whois says the domain is registered in Ontario so he's taking them away from all you Ontario peeps who are having a hard time finding one.

NO I don't mean that... obviously this place is for us to share our passion for the figures and the lines. It's just too bad that scalpers are paying close attention too... that's all.

Re: So this is why people are buying lots of Masterpiece Grimlocks
I know g1korus and have bought stuff from him before. He generally deals in G1 knockoffs. I am surprised at him with the scalping.
I would love to stamp out scalpers, but I have to stress that this is really TRU's fault for bringing in new popular stock in the midst of a clearance sale.
