Re: What is a detail from a Transformer toy, show or media that you love?
I like that the 1986 movie featured the voice of Orson Welles, Leonard Nimoy, Peter Cullen and many other iconic talents.
Only saw it as an adult so it was pretty impressive.
And right now, I really like the Transformers comic book series from Skybound. It's savage.

Re: What is a detail from a Transformer toy, show or media that you love?
Damn, so many to choose from over the course of a 40-years-running franchise. This is definitely not a comprehensive list of my favorite details, but these ones stand out in my head at this moment.
* G1 cassettes - the fact that the cassette-side labels have such tiny markings to try to give the illusion that it's a "real" microcassette from the era (Side A, the "metal position" text, the central label resembling the window where the wound magnetic tape could be seen)
* G1 Shockwave's all-around design (toy and animation model alike).
* The multi-faceted texturing on Vector Sigma.
* '86 movie soundtrack/score - At the beginning of the track when the narration begins ("It is the year 2005...."), that metal-edged airy background sound before the slap-bass hits. I often describe it a "metallic wind".
* Also from the '86 movie score, but not appearing in the movie - in the track "Attack on the Shuttle", there's a particular eight-note riff I really like. It does appear in other tunes on the score, and also in the G1 Season 3 soundtrack.
* I also really like the background grid during the reformatting scene for Galvatron and company. It's retro now, but it works so well.
* Also from the G1 movie - during the last of Unicron's transformation when his emerges, a pair of long cylinders retract into his chest; they show the positive and negative markings of a AA battery.
* Beast Wars Ravage - having a Predacon symbol on one shoulder, and a Decepticon symbol on the other.
* The all-around designs of the first MP Bumblebee and the Netflix Bumblebee, all the way down to the molded hubcaps, to match as closely as possible to a real VW Beetle.
* The molded cities on the surface of TF: Cybertron Primus' planet mode, including Iacon.
* "Alternate Universe" Optimus Prime - a different head with battle damage, including painted cracks on his mouthplate.
* Earthrise Sky Lynx - the NASA logo, as well as being named "Magnificence" like a real space shuttle orbiter.
* All the molded "controls" on Kingdom Blaster.
There's probably a lot more, but those are the ones that come to mind right now.

Ill go with something simple : I love that a toyline and cartoon that I was obsessed with when I was a toddler is still bringing me excitement, passion and happiness in my 40s.

I love that Masterpieces come with accessories from key moments in the cartoon...even stuff as obscure as the alien masks from Hoist goes to Hollywood.

I love Optimus Prime (G1), in robot mode, the truck windshield is similar to a healthy strong male's chest muscle, and truck grill as male body's abdomen muscle

Re: What is a detail from a Transformer toy, show or media that you love?
Megatron's entire deal in "Master of the House" in Beast Machines.
He took over the planet, and then set up in the old Maximal seat of government, where he renovated to make a whole setup where he controlled everything about the building and MADE MURALS depicting his own falsified self-glorifying history about how he took over the planet (see: no beast mode), created a whole imposing "slowly descending from the ceiling intro COMPLETE with an added bass vocal filter, ALL so that when Optimus Primal and co eventually returned to Cybertron he could lord over Primal and rub defeat in his face.

Love the final fight between Star Saber & Deathsaurus in Victory, especially when Deathsaurus' eye is shot out.
