From my interpretation of the Amazon pricing algorithm, the faster an item sells on their website (and maybe the program seeks out prices, availability of the item from other marketplaces, including eBay), the faster they jack up their own price to match the perceived online marketplace "demand".

I could be totally wrong on my interpretation, but sometimes their pricing goes up drastically for a shelfwarmer, which is weird.

I LMAO when a newbie seller on FB marketplace thinks they're making a quick buck by offering a slightly cheaper price than Amazon (which is ridiculously high and overpriced), but it's readily available at MSRP everywhere else.

It says sold by AAA quality goods, not Amazon, hence the 3rd party seller price

The Amazon.ca option is actually more expensive than AAA and comes under ?other buying options? when I expand that menu.

I think you are probably right. This is the only explanation I could imagine for the sudden prince jump that makes any sort of sense.
