New Metrocon announcement, especially geared towards customizers!

Calling all customizers! Metrocon is looking to showcase a limited amount of Transformer custom figures by our local talent at the next show! Space is limited, and it’s free! Each artist who show cases their custom will get a freebie set of weapons by Renderform Garage Kits, to paint up and customize.

Customs need to be able to be displayed between 4pm to 7pm during the Metrocon event. Artists will get early access at 3:30pm to sign in and setup their customs.

Registration is free, and required. All you need to do is either go into Metropolis Comics, and let them know you want to sign up for the custom showcase. Or send us a message here directly with your name, email address!

Showcase space is limited. So sign up today!

You can send me a PM directly with your name and email address, if you can't make it into Metropolis Comics.

Speaking of customs.. A question to the customizers, in our current weather how are you able to paint? I wanna start customizing again but I always fear that because of the constant negatives we have in temperature the paint and primer won't apply as nicely. Advice?

You are painting your toys indoor, right?

I paint indoor but being in an apartment I need a aerated area to spray paint my figures. I heard cold weather can make the primer sticky or something.

Yeah, if your spraying the paint, you'll have more issues with the lower temperature. Why not try hand brushing the paint on?

Well I live in an apt too. I personally find it much easier to use brushes to paint TF after disassembling whatever parts you can take off.

I have not done air brushing for a long time. I live in an wooden frame apt so air brushing with an air compressor on may cause some complains. Of course I never complain about the people above me when I can hear their bed shaking. But that's really nothing compared to the previous apt I live at where I can hear every movement during summer time when the windows are open. I could hear the beginning, the climax, and the ending. EVERY NIGHT!
