no matter what paint it is,if someone tells you it's unchippable.....they're lying.
but there's steps you can take to reduce it like sanding,priming,prepping,etc.
for enamels,if it's the main base coat,i stick to automotive enamels put into spray cans.
keep in mind,sometimes the propellant they use can cause adverse effects....
if it's smaller enamels,i usually use testors model master bottle paints.
if it's acrylics,i only use Tamiya bottle acrylics.
a lot of times,if it was mainly painted with enamels,i won't bother clearcoating as the finish,if done right,should be durable enough.
if it's mainly acrylics,i almost always hit it with a uv clearcoat like krylon matte crystal clearcoat(from Walmart;P)
