Re: 1 Transformer Everyone Should Have

I agree with Tekka--Everyone should have a G1 Prime.

MP-03 Starscream. Amazingly detailed and accurate alt mode. Fantastic yet easy transformation. Awesome robot mode. Definitely my favourite MP figure.

Biased runner up RiD Ultra Magnus.

Re: 1 Transformer Everyone Should Have

I love how these "essential Transformer" threads always end up being about posting the most expensive and difficult-to-obtain figure in your collection.

And no, I still don't own a single figure mentioned in this thread (provided "G1 Prime" refers to the original 1984 toy and its reissues rather than any figure based on the original Prime's character model.)

Re: 1 Transformer Everyone Should Have

"Greenscream"

Honestly I got the G1 colored version first and...blah the details weren't there, colours broken up, the red seemed off.

With the original you and see all the tiny numbered tiles, the little "no step"s on the wings. It just stunning to see the attention that went into it. It one of the few figures I keep in alt mode because no one believes it's a Transformer when I show them. To continue like a mad fangirl the alt mode is also thin enough to aid in that illusion as many plane formers suffer from under carriage or obvious parts that show off it's a Transformer. This thing hardly has seams or shows that off were I found Prime still looked like a toy at the end of the day. Starscream on the other hand, took robots in diguise to a whole nother level.

The robot mode still uses Starscreams classic colour distribution so it still seems like Starscream to me...just a more realistic version of him...and I love it, honestly just a captivating figurefor me through and through...and I still haven't applied the stickers :P

I keep saying Greenscream is superior to all the $100-250 Macross valks produced to date but no one believes me.

I fail to see how anything posted in this thread is the most expensive or difficult to obtain...I see these figures everywhere doing conventions or online store when they're released. As for expensive...I dunno, $100 doesn't seem like much to me considering 3 voyagers add up to $100...

In the end these threads aren't saying "WTF is wrong with you losers?!?!? YOU DON'T HAVE THIS?!?!". They're just an opinion on what we think is an amazing figure that people should have. Agree of disagree, I just don't see the need to be pissy about or call it a dick measuring contest.

Re: 1 Transformer Everyone Should Have

The only "essential" TF that anyone should have: either MP Prime (any of its incarnations) or G1 Prime (or any reissues/whatever).

Not because they are my favorites or anything, but because I'm pretty sure that most will agree with me that they represent the TF universe/toys the most appropriately.
