Re: The Masterpiece Appreciation and Speculation Thread
I've been watching the G1 cartoon again and it makes sense to me that if they were going to continue making more autobot MPs, after this decepticon I trend that interviews seem to be hinting at, that they should make trailbreaker and inferno.
I think those 2 are logical choices because they are both common characters from the first couple seasons, inferno is a perfect fit to go along side the already released red alert MP, and both the trail breaker mold and inferno molds are easy retools into new characters, which would be grapple and hoist, who are also a good match for each other given their relationship from the cartoon.
Makes for a pretty easy 4 MP characters, not counting the possibility of doing simple recolours into diaclone versions.
Also there is a well translated version of that interview excerpt from shogo on tfw2005.com

Quick question regarding Hasbro TRU MP Thundercracker, and Hasbro MP-01 Acid Storm:
Did either/both of these come with a pilot accessory?? ... ... I'm curious to know if I accidentally discarded it... ...

Then we also get Hauler and Artfire from those molds.

Yes they did. Thundercracker has a silver pilot and Acidstorm has a green pilot.

So what is sounds like is Megatron and Iron Hide are being considered and Shogo may still be involved???

In English from TFW2005:
- What kind of future development are you hoping for?
H: The series has grown based on the concept established in MP-10, so I expect they will continue with the in-scale Robot modes and licensed real cars. On top of that, I hope the series moves onto the next, higher step.
I was introduced to the world of Transformers by combiner warriors, so personally I hope to see such characters in the MP series. Also I would like to see Megatron in scale with MP-10 soon or the characters who weren't given many opportunities to have their toys made such as Ironhide.
More than anything I hope it continues on as a series that realises the fans' wishes.

Re: The Masterpiece Appreciation and Speculation Thread
Definitely sounds like Ironhide and Megatron are high on Mr. Hasui's list and, reading his comments on Sideswipe and Soundwave, he also seems able to convince others to go his way.
This gets me thinking that, in a least one way, the 3rd parties could be doing Takara a favour. I bought iGear Weapons Specialist and really like him. But, if Takara puts out MP Ironhide, I will almost certainly get it. I'l give odds that I am not the only one in that boat.
In this way, all Takara has to do is look at the sales of Weapon Specialist and can pretty much know that at least those many units are going to sell.

Re: The Masterpiece Appreciation and Speculation Thread
Thanks for the proper translation and source on TFW. Hasui needs to get back on this line permanently. I love his forward thinking.
