Animated. Particularly because the toys were not only extremely faithful to their animation models
...

But the way they incorporated the highly stylized, artistic, fluid art into physical form while still engineering excellent transformers was nothing short of astounding. The toys simply radiate personality. I pick up blurr or leader Megatron or prowl or jazz or swindle and am wowed. They are fun to transform, complex but not frustrating, posable...

Prime and Animated did a pretty good job but the MP line does it the best naturally.

The only problem they all have is getting the scale right for all the characters.
