I've never ordered from AE since I don't like paying upfront despite their lower preorder price. Say with MP-27, AE is 1000 yen cheaper but you have to pay them 7000 yen (about $80 CAD) now for a Jan 2016 release (if there's no delay). I'd rather keep my money with me for now and then pay 8000 yen to HLJ in Jan.

I order a lot from HLJ so I can use their private warehouse and have the option to choose/delay/combine shipment.

I ordered MP-17/18/19/20/21/22/23 from NY due to their lower price. But lately NY is charging more for shipping. But I ordered UW-04 from them.

You can select JPY as the default currency. All my orders with NY were charged in JPY.

How is PP exchange rate compared to CC exchange rate. I've used both and they don't seem to have a lot of difference...

Oh really? Is that when they take you to that Hi-Fi wallet thing? Cuz I can view the prices in JPY but then get charged in Euros

There's not a huge difference, but when on a budget every bit helps!

I'm trying them for the first time...pay up front, but wanted to see how the service is and what the shipping will be like. But if the shipping's a little higher, it's offset by the cheaper preorder price. I have MP-25 and 26 with them right now (we'll see how much shipping will be) and I decided to go with them for MP-27 as well, at 7000 YEN.

I believe it was a pre-order but as Darth Cylon points out you pay up front with AE

Amiami you pay once they have in stock

Got my order in with Amiami. I mainly stick with Amiami and use HLJ as my backup, and then Hobby Search as my backup backup. A-E pay up front sucks, but I buy from them too sometimes.
