Re: Nippon Yasan Cancellation
Interesting.
I've only made one in-stock order (already received) and one preorder (still to be fulfilled) at Nippon-Yasan, and I've gotten nothing but great service from them when I had a couple of inquiries.
The thing for me is that I mainly go to them for the Bandai Premium or Tamashii Web exclusives. Not many other places offer those, and I have no issues with paying up-front for the preorders at Nippon-Yasan since a) their comission fees are the lowest I can find, and b) they bill me in JPY rather than in USD.

Re: Nippon Yasan Cancellation
I canceled something once from them with no problems. It should be alright, but they'll probably do something about your account if you do it often. For some items, like those they sell out of during pre-orders, they can quickly sell it again and probably don't care as much.

You're right.
On the flipside, I'll double-check my numbers, but I'd rather take my chances with my credit card's conversion rate, than to pay it in their per-determined conversion rate. Especially considering the card I use (the Amazon.ca Visa) has no currency conversion fees.

Re: Nippon Yasan Cancellation
I buy a lot of stuff from NY. Cancelled one item awhile back but they didn't give me crap about it.

I love that NY is able to resell P-Bandai and Tamashii Webshop exclusive and they are only asking for a small premium over the Japanese MSRP if you pre-order. I am still pissed about how much they jack up the price once those products are in stock though. But in the end you and I vote with our money.
It seems many of us had contacted NY and question their shipping rate for MP-25. Their responses are they insist MP-25 has a larger package and their shipping rate is correct. Guess what. MP-25 has the same package as all other MP cars. But is charging more to shipping MP-25 than what they charged me for MP-22. Unless NY is now shipping everything in wooden crate, their shipping charge is totally BS compared to other Japanese shop.
I still order UW-04 from NY since I feel that the 5400 yen NY charges for EMS shipping is about right when I compared to the 4420 yen HLJ change to ship MP-10 with EMS shipping.

Re: Nippon Yasan Cancellation
with the added 2-4 % the sneak in there I use PP all the time just so I can dispute it if needed so I don't mind paying extra for their added service

Really? I never felt like it. It's always ~2-3% above the posted rate, which would be Paypal's "fee" in doing the conversion for you...

Re: Nippon Yasan Cancellation
Oo la la foo de fa fa! That is interesting. Now I have to work out the currency conversions again!
I usually only preorder when I have the funds to pay and pay up front. In terms of service, NY has been decent to me. Bought a LOT of stuff from them too.
