Re: TheTransTorture's Customs

Good 'ol Smokescreen !
This was my first attempt at selling a battle damage TF, the idea came to me when a toy had fallen off my display shelf taking Alt Smokescreen with it, when I found the wreckage Smokescreen was busted in 2 at the waist - what to do ?
After gawking at this figure for a few weeks I had an idea to salvage this guy and make him into a battle damage TF - why not ? he's already busted in 2, what have I got to lose ? !
So this would be a prototype if you will....an experiment.
It came out OK....at best, I knew practice and better methods would be the key to make this convincing.
I searched the web for others doing this and found nothing so decided I would take a stab (lol) at another and sell it....who knows, I might get my money back...
So this was it, pictured below is my first sale....$102.50 U.S. not bad....for a first try at selling.

Re: TheTransTorture's Customs

This'll be it for the year...I think this is the only custom I haven't added yet.....GHOST JAZZ ! ! !

He's weird I know ...originally made him to sell but the more I looked at him the more I liked him so he's in the vault.

Thanks to all who supported me in my first year of customizing and thanks again to Dak for making this forum happen !

ENJOY !

Re: TheTransTorture's Customs

Something I just came up with...
I was trying to make the Cobra Trooper from the first Cobra box set....

I used an Air Trooper and a wave 2 Trooper (with hole in back !) seen here as Hasbro makes them:

And VOILA ! ....
Just switch the legs, vest/belt & head....
Instant Red symbol Trooper (I just have to paint his neck flat black...heh, red neck Trooper !)
AND since the Air Trooper is "Elite" the silver symbol suits him much better:

Here are some other variations you can make just by switching parts from Air Trooper with wave 2 Trooper....

Have fun & build them troops up ! ! ! .... COBRAAAA ! ! !

NO problem bud. I'm a really big fan of customs, like yourself, and I love to see creative talent.

I've seen it before, but Ghost Jazz looks awesome.

Re: TheTransTorture's Customs

A sad note from TFW2005, we just lost a great customizer Kevin McBride (Vector) was a buddy of mine so just wanted to note his passing as he will be sincerely missed.
