Re: Ontario non sightings community chat.
So basically we are down to one retail chain supplying these toys? Nice monopoly.

Re: Ontario non sightings community chat.
It will only be a matter of time before Walmart gets stock. They have always wanted to get products to market first but in the last12-18 months there has been so much internal turmoil with that placeit's not funny. They will be lucky to get TF's to market a month after TRU now bad as it seems

Re: Ontario non sightings community chat.
WalMart are getting on my nerves and not just about TFs. Crow-picked-apart shelves are becoming the norm. We took a list to WalMart a couple days ago and couldn't buy several normal items on it due to no stock. Now the "not accepting Visa because we want 7.001 billion in profit instead of just 7 billion" is rolling out.
Then again with TRU, we just moved in between my placing pre-orders for TR and them shipping, and when I called in to change my address the response was a friendly yet un-reassuring "we will try to reroute them, no promises, who knows what will happen, haha!". Again, these are items they don't have yet, and are not close to shipping for a few more weeks.
Ugh. Retail.

Re: Ontario non sightings community chat.
They have to get 7.002 cause you have to pay for bags now as well and justify they "personal shopping" program they have now lol. Walmart is just getting worse and worse. Tusko may be right with the monopoly lol

Re: Ontario non sightings community chat.
Wal-Mart Canada is getting more like Wal-Mart in the US has been for a while, from what I'm told by an American who toyhunts for me. They've gotten worse since Target left but they have competition down there and are apparently much worse than they are up here.

Re: Ontario non sightings community chat.
TRU.ca currently has all 4 Combaticon limbs for $11.99 for anyone whom may have missed them and Walmart.ca has a rollback on the 3 Coneheads set for $64.96.

Re: Ontario non sightings community chat.
I gave up on Walmart - the ones close by where I am hardly get new TFs in stock. Even when they have things in stock they somehow asked for more compare to TRU for the last year or so.

Re: Ontario non sightings community chat.
Well I'm pretty unimpressed with TF distribution. Over the past couple years I've missed:
Voyager Brainstorm and Deluxe Arcee;
CW Onslaught, Legion Shockwave and Swindle; and
Sky Lynx.
And these were just the figures I was looking for.
While I realise there are online options, the retail landscape in Ontario is very poor in my opinion. I don't understand why the last 2 waves are so poorly distributed in every line.
I feel pretty much done with this hobby in the retail sense. I love Masterpieces and I think that'll be it for me.
