Picked up Generations Dirge & I assume Cybertronian Cliffjumper for 9.98 at TRU at Weston Rd & 7 this morning. Pricing error since these weren't part of the 40% off deal. Works for me though!

Re: Post your Transformers hauls - 2011 edition

I was at the reuse centre in burlington and found a great new maple hutch top (didn't have the drawer/dresser part, just the shelves)
there was no price on it so I asked the guy in charge of stock. He told me $20 and put a price tag on it. On my way to the checkout I saw a toy bag with an Ultra Magnus cab in it for 50 cents...not in the best shape but the smoke stacks were mint and he had the blue face and rubsign. while I was looking at it a lady walked up and said "isn't that beautiful" I thought she was talking about the couch that my new hutch was leaning on, I said that I would move my hutch so she could get a better look. she said that she was talking about the "bookcase" and asked " I don't see a price tag, how much"
I said $20, she said no it wasn't, I pointed to the tag. she said that she works there and that was not the price...I told here that the head stock guy priced it at $20 and thats what I am paying. she took the tag off and said that it was "real maple" and that it was way more than that. she left and said "wait here". There was a different stock guy there and he said that when she comes back she will tell me that it is over twice that price and that I should stick to my guns and not let her "F" with me. I was waiting at cash when she came back and said that it is $40. I told here that it is $20 and that is what I am paying or do I have to call the cops. I told her you cannot change the price of an item when some one is on the way to pay for it, and that it isn't a "bookcase" it is an incomplete hutch, it has no bottom at all. the cashier told her that I was right, that they had to give it to me for the sticker price. She said "just this once" to which I replied, "no, not just this once, everytime! I am going to pay the sticker price and not some jacked up price from a money grubber"
the cashier apologized and I said "its not your fault, you did what was right, its her fault" I thanked the cashier and when out for some A&W. The half hutch is now set up in my room on my file cabinets with a selection of my TFs on the shelves...the bottom shelf is for my 86' movie generations/Fansproject figures....a shipment is coming from BBTS within 2 weeks with my 2011 wave 1 figs...except kup, he is in my next shipment.

I am charging my camera battery so I will upload some pics in my collection thread when the battery is charged.
